Time taken to reach the ground, t=10s

Acceleration, a=g=-9.8ms-2(directionofstoneandballoonareopposite)

Let height of balloon is given by, h

Step 2: Calculating the height of balloon

By using the equation of motion we can calculate the height as below:

S=ut+12at2-h=29×10+12×-9.8×(10)2-h=290-490-h=-200h=200m

Therefore height of a balloon is equal to 200m
