A battery contains chemical energy and changes it into electrical energy but when it gets charged the energy going into is electrical energy. So my question is that can a battery change electrical energy into chemical energy

Solution
Yes. Basically inside a battery there occurs a chemical reaction. The energy that is released from this chemical reaction is converted into electrical energy. That is how a battery works. By mere logic we can think of this like the reactants inside the battery is continiously getting depleted and prouducts are formed.
During charging of a battery. We pass electrical energy and this energy will convert the products formed back into reactants. Thus Electrical energy is converted to Chemical Energy during charging.
