Given:
Length of the beam, l = 4 m
Breadth of the beam, b = 50 cm = 0.5 m
Depth of the beam, h = 20 cm = 0.2 m
We know:
Volume of the beam = lbh
= 4 × 0.5 × 0.2
= 0.4 m3
Weight of 1 m3 beam = 25 kg
∴ Weight of 0.4 m3 beam = 0.4 × 25 kg = 10 kg
