Higher the energy, lower the min wavelength. (attached concept)
As the incoming X-rays are accelerated by higher potential, they gain higher energy and are able to knock out electrons to higher orbits.
These electrons when return to ground state, emit wavelenghts, depending on the energy gap b/w the highest and lowest orbit energy states.
