Given,

u=+30 cm; f=+20 cm

Since, the incident rays are converging behind the mirror, object is a virtual object and the image formed by this virtual object is virtual and inverted as u>f.

Using mirror formula,

1v+1u=1f, we get

1v=1f1u

Substituting the given data we get,

1v=120130=3260=160

v=60 cm



Now, magnification from a convex mirror
m=vu=6030=2

Hence, the image formed will be virtual, inverted and enlarged, and at a distance of 60 cm behind the mirror.
