The correct option is B 450 kN/m2;88 mm
τavg=PA

=1000.5×0.5

=400 kN/m2


The maximum shear stress

τmax=98τavg

=98×400=450 kN/m2

From figure

CD=0.52 m

h=CD2=0.522=0.35 m

So position of maximum shear stress from neutral axis

=h4=0.088 m=88 mm
