Critical angle sin i=1μ
In total internal reflection, sine of critical angle of reflection is inversely proportional to the refractive index of material for a given wavelength. This means that those wavelengths that have less refractive index than green (yellow, orange and red) bend less, and are not able to reflect back (as no T.I.R), and thus come out to the air.
