A beam of wood is 5m long and 36cm thick. It is made of 1.35m3 of wood. What is the width of the beam?
Volume of wood =1.35m3
Length of beam =5m
Thickness (h)=36cm=36100m.
∴ Width =Volumelength×thickness
=1.35×1005×36=135×100100×5×36
=34m=0.75m
=75cm
