Volume of wood $= 1.35 m^{3}$

Length of beam $= 5 m$

Thickness $(h) = 36 c m = \frac{36}{100} m .$

$∴$ Width $= \frac{V o l u m e}{l e n g t h \times t h i c k n e s s}$

$= \frac{1.35 \times 100}{5 \times 36} = \frac{135 \times 100}{100 \times 5 \times 36}$

$= \frac{3}{4} m = 0.75 m$

$= 75 c m$
