A bird is flying over a swimming pool at a height of 2 m from the water surface. If the bottom is perfectly planereflecting surface and depth of swimming pool is 1 m, then the distance of final image of bird from the bird itselfis ( μw =3/4)

As the question says that the bottom of the pool is the plane reflecting surface therefore the pool will act as a plane mirror. And, according to the characteristics of plane mirror we can consider that the image formed by plane mirror is virtual in nature, upright that is erect and the object’s distance is same as that of image’s distance. Therefore the distance of image of the bird flying over the pool from the bird itself will be,

image=2 m+2 mimage=4 m
