Step 2: (ii) Given data,

Effort E=150kgf

Efficiency η=75%

Velocity ratio VR=5

Step 3: Find the mechanical advantage MA,

We know that η=MAVR×100

Substitute the values in the above formula.

75=MA5×100MA=3.75

Step 4: Find the load.

We know that MA=LoadLEffortE.

Substitute the values in the above formula.

3.75=L150kgfL=150×3.75=562.5kgf

Thus, the maximum load Rahul can raise with this pulley system is 562.5kgf.
