Question

Solution

The correct option is C cos2θ
When the plane is moving
Applying pseudo force
As, the block is at rest,
gsinθ=acosθ
thus, a=gtanθ
Now, Nsinθ=ma=mg tanθ
N1=mgcosθ...........(i)
When the plane is stationary
N2=mgcosθ.............(ii)
From eq. (i ) and(ii)
N1N2=1cos2θ
or N2=N1cos2θ
Thus correct answer is (c)
