A block of 4kg is resting on a rough horizontal plane and is about to move. When a horizontal force of 30n is applied on it find the total contact force exerted by the plane on the block

Given
m = 4 kg;
F = 30 N ;
g = 10 ms^-2

N = mg = 4×10 = 40 N

=> R²=N² + F²
so,

R² = (40)² + (30)²

​​​​R² =1600+900=2500

R = √2500

R= 50 N( Answer)
