Question
A block of mass 12 kg is in air and its density is 4000 kg/m^3. Calculate its apparent mass in water . ( Take , density of water - 103 kg/m^3 )
Open in App
Solution
Dear Student,
Volume of block is 12/4000 = 3/1000 m
3
;
Now mass of water displaced = (3/1000)1000;
= 3 kg.
Apparent mass = 12 - 3 = 9 kg;
