A force of 40 N is applied on the string.
So,
Fmg=ma
4020=ma
a=20m=202=10 ms2
Also, ΔkE=12mv2=40
v2=40×2m=40×22
v2=40
Using eqn of motion
2as=v2u2
s=v2u22a=4002×10=2m
Displacement=2m
