Component of acceleration towards displacement $= g s i n 37^{0} = \frac{3 g}{5} = 6 m / s^{2}$
Force in the direction of displacement , $F = m a$
$= 0.25 \times 6$
$= 1.5 N$

Work done against the friction , $W = F s = 1.5 \times 1 = 1.5 J$
