The eqn of motion on the rough road is given by, m a = F -μ mgor 8× a = 20 -0.1×8×10= 20-8=12therefore a = 12/8 = 3/2 m/s2.thus the workdone by external force Wex = m a×S.Where distance moved is S. Wex = 8×32 S = 12 S.and workdone by frictional force Wfriction =μ mg S = 8 S.
