Step 1: Given data and drawing the diagram

The diagram showing all the forces acting on the block is given below:

Here we see that normal force, 'N'and 'mg' are in opposite direction. Also there is an acceleration in upward direction, hence there will be a pseudo force acting on the block which is given below:

Fp=mg2

Step 2: Calculating the work done by normal reaction

Apply the force balance on the given block we get,

N-mg=mg2N=3mg2

Also the displacement can be calculated by using equation of motion.

S=ut+12at2S=0+12g2t2(u=0anda=g2)S=gt24

Now work done can be calculated using the formula:

W=NSW=3mg2gt24W=3mg2t28

Hence, option(A) is correct answer.
