max compression and that will
be at the instant when kinetic
energy is zero.
As spring force is conservative,
Ui+KEi=Uf+KEf [conservation of Mechanical (Energy)]
So,
Ui=K(0)22=0,Uf=KX22
KEi=MU22, KEf=M(0)22=0
So, KX22=MV22
X=MVK [max compression]
So max spring force = KX=(KM)V
