A block of wood in the shape of cuboid has length 2.5 m, breadth 1.5 m and height 2 m. How many cubical blocks, each of edge 50 cm can be cut from it?

Volume of a cuboid with length L=2.5m, breadth B=1.5m and height H=2m

lbh=2.5×1.5×2=7.5 sq .metre

=7.5×100 cm×100 cm ×100cm

Volume of a cube of length =50×50×50 cubic centimetre

=125×1000 cubic centimetre

=1.25×105 cubic centimetre .

No. of blocks cut from the cuboid =7.5×1061.25×105=60
