The correct option is B $4 m s^{- 2}$
i) $k x + m g = m a$
$a = 6 m / s^{2}$
$k x = m a - m g$
$= m (a - g)$
$k x = - 4 m$
(ii) $k x + m g - m g = m a_{2}$
$- 4 m = m a_{2}$
$a_{2} = - 4 m / s^{2}$
$| a_{2} | = 4 m / s^{2}$
