A block weigh...
Question
A block weighing 1 kg is in the shape of cube whose length is 10cm . It is kept on the table . Find the force acting on the object?
Open in App
Solution
Pressure = Force / Area
= mg / A
= (1 kg × 9.8 m/s²) / (0.1 m × 0.1 m)
= 980 pascals
∴ Pressure acting on the table by block is 980 pascals
[Note: If we take g = 10 m/s² then pressure will be 1 kilo pascals]
