Solution

The correct option is A

t(x+5)/x hrs

Speed of the boat = Distance travelled/Time taken= xt km/hr

Since the speed of boat is constant, the speed of boat while travelling x+5 km will be xt

Speed = DistanceTime

xt=x+5Time

Cross multiplying,

x × Time = t × (x+5)

Time = t(x+5)x hr
