A body is dropped from a balloon which is moving upwards with a speed of 10 m/s. The body is dropped when the balloon is at a height of 390 m from the surface of the earth. Find the approximate time taken by the body to reach the surface of the earth. Take g=10 m/s2

g=10 m/s2h=390 m
Using, h=ut+12gt2
390=(10)t+1/2×/105×t2390=5t210tt22t78=0t=(2)±(2)24(1)(78)2×1=2±4+3122=2±17.7762
We take t=2+17.7762
=9.888t10 s
The body will take approximately 10 s to reach the ground.
