The correct option is D at x=2.5m
Fnet=mgsinθμmgcosθ
Thus, Fnet=mgsinθ0.3xmgcosθ ....(i)
At maximum speed Fnet=0
Because after this net force will become negative and speed will decrease.
From Eq. (i), Fnet=0
we get mg sinθ0.3xmg cosθ=0
where θ=37o
Or x=tanθ0.3
We know cosθ=1sin2θ=1925=45
tanθ=sinθcosθ=34
So, x=3/40.3=2.5m
