A body is moving in a straight line and its displacement at various instants of time is given in the following table. Plot displacement-time graph and calculate the total distance travelled in interval 1 s to 5 s.

Displacement-time graph:
In displacement-time graph, the displacement of the body is taken along Y-axis and time along X-axis.
Displacement - time sketch for the given data is shown below:
Here, the position of particle during the time interval of 1 s to 5 s changes from 6 m to 18 m.
So, Displacement covered = final position - initial position
s=18m6m=12m
Since the body is moving along a straight-line distance travelled and displacement covered are same. Hence, the total distance travelled during interval 1 s to 5 s is 12 m.
