The correct option is B 60 m
Given a=10 ms2
We know that,
Distance covered by the body in the nth second is given by Sn=u+12a(2n1)
According to question
S4=u+12a(81)
=u+72a
or 40=u+72×10
or u=4035
=5 ms1
Distance covered by the body in 6th second
s6=5+12×10×(121)
which gives s6=60 m.
Thus, the correct choice is option (b)
