Given:
Density of body =500 kg/m3
Density of water =1000 kg/m3
We know that, A body or the liquid having lesser density floats in liquid which is having a comparatively higher density.

The body floats in liquid, so ρliquid can not be lesser than 500 kg/m3. Liquid floats in water so ρliquid cannot be greater than 1000 kg/m3.
Hence,
500 kg/m3 < ρliquid >1000 kg/m3
