80 J and 40 kgms−1
Given, mass of the body m=10 kg and velocity v=4 ms−1
Kinetic energy (K.E.) = 12mv2
⇒K.E. = 12×10× 42 = 80 J
Momentum (P) = mv
⇒P = 10 × 4 = 40 kgms−1
∴ Kinetic energy = 80 J and momentum = 40 kgms−1
