Question

A body of mass 10 kg is projected up with a velocity of 19.6ms1. Find the potential energy at its highest point.

Open in App
Solution

According to energy conservation, the kinetic energy of the body is converted into potential energy at highest point.
So, potential energy at highest point = kinetic energy =12mv2=12(10)(19.6)2=1920.8J
