The correct option is C 100 J
Given, mass of the body (m)=2 kg
Initial speed (u)=10 m/s

We know that maximum height reached by the body (H)=u22g=(10)22×10=5 m
Force of gravity acts vertically downwards and the body is moving up
Force of gravity is anti parallel to displacement
Then,
Work done by gravity (W)=F.s=Fs. As, cos180o=1.
The only force acting is weight (mg), so
W=mgH,
W=2×10×5=100 J

Hence option C is the correct answer
