Acceleration :

v2 = u2 -2as (v is final velocity, u is initial velocity and a is acceleration)

v = 0m/s; as the object comes to rest

u = 2 m/s and s = 2m

Thus, acceleration = 1 m/s

F = ma;

F = 2*1 = 2 kg-m/s2
