A body of mass $50g$ is moving with a velocity of $10m{s}^{-1}$. It is brought to rest by a resistive force of $10N$. Find the distance that the body will travel after the resistance force is applied.

Given that force is $10$ N and mass as $50$ g which is also equal to $50/1000=1/20$. We know that force is equal to $F=m\times a$

$a=20\times 10=200m/s^2$

$s=(v^2-u^2)/2a$

$s={10}^2/(2\times 200)=0.25m$

$s=25cm.$
