The correct option is C 80 m
Given:
initial velocity in X-direction = 0 ms1,
initial velocity in Y-direction = 0 ms1,
acceleration in X-direction = 6 ms2,
acceleration in Y-direction = 8 ms2,
time taken= 4 seconds,
using 2nd law of motion,
s=ut+12at2
Displacement along X- axis : x=uxt+12axt2=12×6×(4)2=48 m Displacement along Y- axis : y=uyt+12ayt2=12×8×(4)2=64 m
Total distance from the origin =x2+y2=(48)2+(64)2=80 m.
