now, d=12at2 (using S=ut+12at2) here d= distance from top to bottom of inclined plane.

for rough surface, time=nt
ma=mgsinθμmgcosθa=g(sinθμcosθ)
now, d=12a(nt)2
d=12g(sinθμcosθ)n2t2....(2)
solving (1) and (2), sinθ=n2sinθμn2cosθ
put θ=45, we will get,
12=12n212μn2
1=n2(1μ)
μ=11n2
