The correct option is A

10 cm/s


We have, s1 = 200 cm; s2 = 420 cm;
t1 = 2s and t2 = 6s.
Case I :
s1=ut1+12 at21
200=2u+12a×4
u+a=100 …(1)
Case II :
s2=ut2+12 at22
420=u×6+12a×62
420=6u+18a
u+3a=70 …(2)
Solving (1) and (2), we get
a=15m/s2
and u = 115 cm/s.
Since, v = u + at
V = 115 - 15 × 7 = 10 cm/s.
