A body travels a distance of 15m from A to B,then moves a distance of 20 at right angle to AB. Calculate total distance travelled and displacement.

Using the Pythagorous theorem we can write that ,
$$\begin{gathered} Totaldisplacement=\sqrt{{20}^2+{15}^2}=\sqrt{625}=25m \\ Totaldis\tan cetravelled=15+20=35m \end{gathered}$$
