Since the the aeroplane is directly above a target at a height of 1000 m, the distance by which bomb will miss the target is equal to the horizontal distance covered by bomb during its fall

Horizontal distance (d)= Time of fall × Horizontal speed
d=t×v
d=2hg×500km/h
d=2×100010×500×518m/s
d=1964.2m
