A bottle of tonic contains 240 ml of the medicine. David has been told by the doctor that he should take two teaspoons, thrice a day. Each teaspoon measures 5 ml. For how many days will he be able to take the tonic?

Capacity of a bottle =240ml

Capacity of one spoon =5ml

Step-2: Calculation of number of days the bottle lasts

David has been told by the doctor should take two teaspoons, thrice a day=3×2=6spoons

Requirement per day=6×5=30ml

Number of days bottle lasts =24030=8days

Therefore, the tonic will last for 8 days.
