For person A,
C.P = ₹ 600
S.P = ₹ 400
$\because \text{Loss}=C.P-S.P$
$\Rightarrow \text{Loss}=₹500-₹300=₹200$
$\Rightarrow \text{Loss\%}=\frac{Loss}{C.P}\times 100$
$=\frac{200}{500}\times 100$
$=40\text{\%}$
For person B,
C.P = ₹ 800
S.P = ₹ 600
$\because \text{Loss}=C.P-S.P$
