Solution

The correct option is D 905
Number of apples a box can store = 100
Number of apples a basket can store = 10
Number of apples a pouch can store = 3
Number of apples Jax can store:
4 boxes = 4 Hundreds = 400 apples
6 baskets = 6 Tens = 60 apples
3 pouches =3+3+3=9 apples
=400+60+9=469

Number of apples Jane can store:
4 boxes = 4 Hundreds = 400 apples
3 baskets = 3 Tens = 30 apples
2 pouches =3+3=6 apples
=400+30+6
=436
469+436=?

Using the HTO table for decomposition:

=800+90+15
=800+90+10+5
=800+100+5
=900+5=905

So, they both can store 905 apples in total.
