Open in App
Solution

Since the boy bought 9 apples and sold 11 apples then this must be only possible if he a total of multiple of 9 and 11.

Therefore, let the the total apples be LCM of 9 and 11 which is 99.

Now, CP of 9 apples =Rs.9.60

Therefore, CP of 99 apples =Rs.9.60×11=Rs.105.6

Also, SP of 11 apples =Rs.12

Therefore, SP of 99 apples =Rs.12×9=Rs.108

As SP > CP, therefore,

Profit = SP CP

=108105.6

=Rs.2.4

Profit%=ProfitCP×100

=2.4105.6×100

=2.27%

Hence profit percent earned by the boy is 2.27%.
