Question

A boy carries 20kg load from ground level to a height of 10m. He does it in 40 seconds. Calculate the power.

Open in App
Solution

Mass of that load =m=20kg Height=h=10m After carrying the load to an height 10m the work done= potential energy of that load at that height. So the work done is =m*g*h=20*10*10=2000 jule. So, the power carrying the load is =Work done /time =2000/40=50 jule/sec=50 watt. Here g=10m/s².
