A boy decided to distribute blankets to poor people instead of having a party with his friend on his 13th birthday. He distributed half the blankets to an old age home , three fourth of the remaining to an orphanage and rest 20 were distributed among the road sid beggars . Find the number of the blankets he had . What values are being promoted?

Let ${}^{\prime }{x}^{\prime }$ be the total no. of blanket

$\frac{x}{2}\to$ old age home

$\frac{3}{4},\frac{x}{2}=\frac{3x}{8}\to$ orphanage

remaining $=\frac{1}{4}\times \frac{x}{2}=\frac{x}{8}=20$

$x=20\times 8=160$

$\therefore$ total no. of blankets $=160$
