Question

A boy has 20 rupees in his pocket.He have to buy 20 things with his 20 rupees. He went to a shop for buying cups ₹3 each, glasses ₹1 each and spoons 25 paise each. How many things he could from his 20 rupees so that he would have 20 things.

Total Rupees = 20
price for cup= 3 rs
Price for glasses = 1 rs
Price for spoon = 25 paise =0.25 rs
No of cups = x
No. Of glasses = y
No. Of spoons = z
Total no.of things = x+y+z= 20.....(1)
then
3x + y + 0.25 z = 20 rs......(2) { total amount can spend)

I think your question is not correct or the answer will be "boy can buy the all three things"...
becoz if the question intent to get the no.of each things that can buy the given data is not proper for that...

According to this question so many no.of combination can bought.
example
  • 6 cups, 1 glass ,4 spoon
  • 5 cups, 4 glass ,4 spoon
  • Etc..
