As work done due to conservative forces are completely independent of the path.
we will consider minimum path here.
$W D = F S$
$n o w S = S_{1} + S_{2} + S_{3}$
$S = 20 + (2 r) + 20$
$S = 20 + (10) + 20$
$S = 50 m$
$W D = 8 (50) = 400 J$
