Step 1 : Finding the money spent on cloth

Given,

Total money = Rs. 2,400

Money spent on buying clothes

$= \frac{3}{5}$ of 2400

$= \frac{3}{5} \times 2400$

= Rs. 1440

Step 2 : Finding the money spent one shoes

Remaining money

= Total money - money spent on cloth

= Rs. 2400 - 1440

= Rs. 960

Money spent on buying shoes

$= \frac{1}{4}$ of remaining money

$= \frac{1}{4} \times 960$

= Rs.240
