A boy starts jogging from his house and move 500 m towards west than 400 m towards south and then 600 M towards east and finally 400 m towards north calculate the distance and displacement.

Distance travelled = Sum of all distances travelled by him independent of direction
= 500+400+600+400
= 1900 m

Displacement = final position - initial position =Position of X - Position of (4)

= 100m east from start - 0 m from start

= 100 m towards East
