A brick weigh...
Question
A brick weights 2 1/5 kg A stone is 1 1/10 kg lighter than the brick find the wieght of the stone
Open in App
Solution
We know 1 kg =1000 gm
so 1/5 part of kg = 1000/5 = 200 gm
2 kg= 2*1000 gm = 2000 gm
1/10 part of kg = 1000/10 = 100 gm
so weight of bricks = 2 1/5 kg = 2000+ 200= 2200 gm
Stone is lighter than brick by 1 1/10 kg = 1000+100 = 1100 gm
So weight of stone = weight of brick - lighter weight value
=( 2200- 1000 ) gm
So weight of stone = 1100 gm
1100 gm = 1.1 kg
Answer = 1100 gm or 1.1 kg or 1 1/10 kg
