Open in App
Solution

A plant is normally diploid in the number of chromosomes.(2n).
If a plant cells have 8 chromosomes meaning , that is its diploid number. So all cells of the body will have 8.
So cells of leaf will also have 8 chromosomes.
But endosperm will have 3n chromosmes.1n=4,2n=8 so 3n will 12.
The gamets fo the plant will have 1n=4.
So only gametes will have the number of chromosomes. All other cells have same number of chromosomes.
Endosperm will have 3 times more than you see in gamets.
So if gamets has 2 chromosmes, endosperm will have 6.All other cells of the body will be 4 chromosmes.
Gamete 1n, all cells 2n, endosperm 3n.
